I'm sure I've seen this concept played out in an episode or two of Buffy the Vampire Slayer but nevertheless it's pretty fun to see Megan Fox in this kind of role, a one that plays on the power of her amazing physic over men, and actually places such an attractive girl as the villain of the piece. An old Joss Whedon trait if there ever was one.

And honestly, I find it a little easier to stomach that Fox is a dumb cheerleader as apposed to a chick who knows her way around the inside of a motor.

20th Century Fox have released a trailer for the movie, the second film based on a Diablo Cody script (the first being the best original screenplay Oscar winning Juno) and directed by Karyn Kusama (Aeon Flux, Girlfight).

The R-RATED HORROR COMEDY!!!, opens Sept 18th in the U.S. and October 9th in the U.K.

Academy Award winner Diablo Cody (JUNO) claims that she has written a screenplay based around the theme involving her real life situation where she has become the subject of much hatred by journalists, fanboys and critics because she has been successful in the industry in such a short time from an unusual background.

Which if you don't know, is that she worked a variety of jobs many would find degrading such as being a stripper and working on a sex phone line before trying her hand at writing and being extremely successful at it.

She doesn't go into details, doesn't even let us know if she finished it, whether it was a t.v. script or a feature.

The claim came as part of an astonishing attack on her very own blog voiced directly towards those who have taken a disliking towards her. The highlights are below...
I may have won 19 awards that you don't feel I earned, but it's neither original nor relevant to slag on Juno. Really. And you're not some bold, singular voice of dissent, You are exactly like everyone else in your zeitgeisty-demo-lifestyle pod. You are even like me. (I, too, loved Arrested Development! Aren't we a pretty pair of ...

Well it would appear to be purely coincidental but the teaser poster for the second movie adapted from a Diablo Cody (Oscar winner for Juno) script, the horror/comedy Jennifer's Body starring Megan Fox, shares many similarities with the poster for the upcoming HBO series True Blood.

A LOT of similarities...

Jennifer's Body directed by Karyn Kusama (Girlfight, Aeon Flux) opens next year co-starring Amanda Seyfried, Johnny Simmons, Adam Brody and J.K. Simmons in the tale of a newly possessed cheerleader (Fox) who begins to kill her male classmates!

Steven Spielberg, who turned the job of directing the excellent Academy Award winning Juno script because he didn't think he could do the material justice, has given screenwriter Diablo Cody a big money deal to adapt a big screen comedy based on his original idea.

Dreamworks are going to great lengths in keeping quiet on just what that idea is with many of the deal-makers involved blissfully unaware of the project they are making deals for, is actually about. Though you would think that would have to change once a producer for the project is found.

The project will mark the second time the pair have worked together in such a short space of time. Spielberg is executive producer on the upcoming Toni Collete led t.v. show The United States of Tara which Cody wrote the original pilot for and was also based on a Spielberg idea.

Depending on the subject matter, this could well end up being a future Spielberg directed project. His next directed film will be the first part of Tintin expected to get underway in September, then following that it's anything out of The Trial of Chicago 7, the sci-fi movie Interstellar or most likely the Lincoln biopic with ...

Review by Matt Holmes

[rating: 4.5]

Following on from the success of two of last summer's best comedies, Waitress and Knocked Up, comes Juno - another movie about a young woman who has some difficult choices to make in her life after accidentally becoming pregnant. The movie finally opens nationwide in the U.K. next week and I'm happy to report that it's every bit as good as the amazing response it received across the U.S. over the last couple of months. This absolutely delightful comedy continues a wonderful string of absolutely fantastic films that are playing in U.K. cinema's right now.

Directed by Jason Reitman (who brought us the great political satire Thank You For Smoking a couple of years ago) this thankfully 99% cliche-free and emotional comedy follows a 16 year old teenager by the name of Juno MacGuff (played superbly by Ellen Page), who after one night of romance and passion finds herself unwittingly pregnant. Now, rather than taking on the overwhelming task of looking after the baby and continuing ...
