After having the biggest opening day release of all time, Spider-Man 3 has topped itself again by becoming the highest grossing opening weekend of all time, in what was the widest ever release in the history of film.
Slow weekend at the box office as everyone saves their money for SPIDEY.
Can't blame the Easter weekend this time, but in truth in a flurry of wide releases will have done harm to Grindhouses' profits this week. Still, this movie has bombed.
Whenever Will Ferrell makes himself look stupid on screen and indeed appears in a sporting comedy movie, history tells us he is a huge draw.

The Super Bowl weekend is a notoriously bad one for the U.S. Box Office, but the figures this weekend have to be seen as a big disappointment. Business is down yet again, this time at a massive 11% from this time last year.
